Crisis on Vimeo

I am currently in conflict with Vimeo (where my videos are hosted), as their automated copyright detection has falsely detected the original soundtrack I created for “Human III” as if it was “Pipes N Sneakers” by Jay Shepheard. I honestly never heard Jay Shepheard’s “Pipes N Sneakers” – after a search online, I am sure my original track doesn’t even sound like it.

I submitted documentation that the track is my own work, but Vimeo denied my appeal, so I have had to mute my original track to keep “Human III” available on Vimeo.

I create everything myself, and accusing me of copyright infringement is an insult. The audio track for “Human III” is created with Reason DAW, Reason Studios says: “Sorry to hear about your issues with Vimeo. The end user license agreement states what you cannot do (sell our sounds as samples or as a sound library), or use our musical examples from the software as your own), not what you can do. It’s implicit that you use a DAW and its instruments to create music.”

I have asked Vimeo to forward my complaint to a professional (if they know any?), if they do not correct their mistake, I will have to look for a new provider.

FilmArte Festival Spring 2024 edition in Berlin

FilmArte Festival, Berlin, have announced their Spring 2024 edition, and I am happy my new work “Chaos” is included. A film with video content from project MANIFESTO was semi-finalist.

I have just been notified that the screening is tonight (Thursday April 4) at Wein Salon, entrance is free.
